My name is Do Kyungsoo, 19 years old. A freshman studying postmodern music at Seoul National University. My current occupation is a leech. My landlord is a bestselling, Yisang Literary award winning novelist who also writes boys' love novels in his spare time-the great Wu Yifan! He is my brother's best friend, and with the way things turned out, he became my tutor.

All my life I had lived with my hyung. But he got married to a lovely lady and had to transfer to Busan from Seoul because of his job. So I ended up staying with this eccentric novelist.

His lordship's pseudonym, used only for his BL novels, is Kris Wu.

But….none of that even matters!

The problem is with the foolish things he writes!

"Y-Yifan sunbae…" Kyungsoo gasps as he tries to push away the older male. "s-stop. This isn't right!" Instead of replying, Yifan sneaks a hand under his shirt, sending shivers down Kyungsoo's spine as skin meets skin. Yifan sends him a mischievous look then proceeds to manhandle him into his bedroom, whispering naughty things on his rather sensitive ear…....................................He grabs a small bottle from his bedside table…............................He slowly slipped his fingers.............................….."Yifan-s-sunbae….please…" "Don't resist me Kyungsoo-yah. I know you want this as much as I do."

ARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH THIS IS THE LAST DRAW!!!!!

In his irritation, Kyungsoo acquires inhuman strength and proceeds to tear the offending novel in his hand. He had stumbled upon another one of Yifan's new BL novels while cleaning his office, almost tripping over stacks of freshly printed copies. The top novel had fallen and landed open, revealing paragraphs and paragraphs of explicit sexual content. To Kyungsoo's horror, the main characters consisted of Yifan and him. AGAIN.

Fuming, he stomps towards the older male's room, kicking the door open with his newly obtained Hulk-like strength.

"WAKE UP YOU PERVERT!" Kyungsoo screeches at the sleeping lump on the bed. "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WROTE ANOTHER ONE OF THESE RIDICULOUS NOVELS! WHEN DID I EVER SAY THOSE DISGUSTING THINGS ABOU---"

It takes a second for Kyungsoo so realize that the lump is now menacingly glaring at him sleep-laden evil eyes. Uh-oh.

"U-ummm…." the younger male takes a tentative step backwards. Damn it! He always forgets that Yifan's in a foul mood when he wakes up. "E-excuse me for disturbing your slumb--AAAAH!"

Before he can process anything, he finds himself slamming against the soft mattress. "I'M SORRY. I'M SORRY. P-PLEASE DON'T," an instinctive plea rushing out of his lips.

Yifan smirks and traps him with his arms, his larger body pinning Kyungsoo effectively. “Y-Yifan…..STOP!” Kyungsoo struggles against his hold, wrists going slightly numb from the older man’s grip. But it’s a useless effort as Yifan easily maneuvers himself on top of him.

“I really don’t understand why you're so against it.” Yifan grumbles, his voice still coarse from sleep.

“Excuse you! Why would I not be against it? You don’t ask for my permission and you keep making me do all these sexual th-“

He doesn’t finish ranting because Yifan sneaks a hand under his flimsy clothing and suddenly Kyungsoo is all too aware that the man above him doesn’t even have a shirt on. Don’t look at his muscles, don’t look at his-oh god. Yifan’s large palm is so so so warm against his skin.

“S-stop. Yifan…L-Luhan’s going to be here in a few minutes!”

“Let him wait.” Yifan lowers his face, hot breath fanning against Kyungsoo’s sensitive neck. “Why don’t we act out those disgusting things, hm?”

Oh crap.

Luhan is Yifan’s editor, a rather pretty man with a very cheery disposition. Kyungsoo likes him a lot, not only because he brings treats every time he visits but also because he isn’t afraid to deal with a difficult Yifan. Luhan might seem good-natured and gentle but when it comes to deadlines…well, he can turn into a scary person.

Once, Yifan suffered a rather serious case of writer’s block and ended up thinking that hiding from his editor was a good idea. Somehow, Luhan had managed to hunt him down and by the end of the week, he was halfway through the 100-page draft that he didn’t think he could work on. So yeah, Kyungsoo can safely say that he really likes Luhan because he’s amazing.

Right now, Yifan is in the middle of writing a new novel. Not a BL one, thank god. So Luhan has been visiting frequently to check his progress.

“This is much better that the previous one,” Luhan comments as he browses through Yifan’s latest revisions. “If you keep this up, we might not need to move the printing date.”

Kyungsoo suppresses a giggle when he sees Yifan roll his eyes. He knows how the writer hates being pressured, not matter how subtle Luhan tries to be.

“I’ll get it done when I get it done.” Yifan retaliates with a childish huff.

It’s Luhan’s turn to roll his eyes. He shoves the manuscript back to Yifan and makes his way towards Kyungsoo who’s busy with dinner.

“Hey Kyungsoo. Did you like the cream puffs I brought last time?” he asks with a grin.

“I did. Thanks!” Kyungsoo replies happily. “They were very delicious.”

“In that case, I’ll bring some again when I come over next week.”

Yep. Kyungsoo really likes Luhan. He goes back to chopping vegetables with that thought.

He doesn’t notice Yifan’s sharp stare.

Joonmyun is Kyungsoo’s sunbae. He has a perpetual smile on his handsome face and he’s Kyungsoo’s only friend in university. It’s not that he’s a loner. Kyungsoo wasn’t exactly Mr. Popular in high school but he had a good number of friends who hung out with him during breaks and after school.

College…is a different matter.

In a national university, you’re apparently alienated if a popular writer drives you to school in a ridiculously expensive sports car. That’s exactly what happened on his first day of school.

And despite Kyungsoo’s protests, Yifan continues to drive him even with the knowledge that it’s very detrimental to his social life. Yifan may or may not have grumbled a few times about wanting to keep Kyungsoo all for himself. Kyungsoo may or may not have pretended that he didn’t hear.

But Joonmyun is everything that Kyungsoo could ever want in a sunbae. He’s smart, friendly and it’s a huge plus that he’s the only person who talks to Kyungsoo outside of class. He even gives him tips on which subjects to take, being a postmodern music major himself.

“How was your weekend?” Joonmyun asks as he plops down the seat next to Kyungsoo. They’re taking a required History subject together.

“It was okay.” Kyungsoo replies. “I spent most of my time watching Yifan and his editor bicker over the drafts of his new book.”

Joonmyun sits a little straighter. “Oh really? He has a new novel?”

Kyungsoo can get pretty talkative when he becomes comfortable with someone. And Joonmyun is a very good listener, always reacting at the right moment and sharing just enough to keep the conversation going. So naturally, Kyungsoo ends up telling him about his life story, including his odd companionship with Yifan (excluding the detail that their “companionship” has taken a sexual turn). But Joonmyun seems to be genuinely interested whenever he talks about the novelist. Even if he just ends up complaining about him.

“Yeah,” Kyungsoo answers, pulling out his Asian History book from his bag. “He’s pretty stressed over it. But from what I’ve seen, he’s doing pretty well.”

Well is an understatement, of course. Yifan’s works have always been brilliant. At least, according to the best literature critiques.

“I’m glad to hear that,” Joonmyun says with a rather mysterious smile. “I’ll look forward to it.”

According to Joonmyun, he’s read every single one of Yifan’s published works. Kyungsoo isn’t sure if that includes his boy love novels. He hopes not. But Joonmyun claims that he’s been following Yifan’s writing career for years and the younger student believes him, if only because he can recite all the titles under Yifan’s name. Again, Kyungsoo isn’t too keen to test if he also knows the titles under Kris Wu.

However, despite being a rather voracious reader of Yifan’s novels, Joonmyun insists that he’s not a fan. The writing style is not his cup of tea, he says, often comparing Yifan to other novelists that he considers better. Kyungsoo might find this strange but Joonmyun speaks with such a captivating aura that makes people think that he’s probably right.

Long after their conversations though, Kyungsoo sometimes gets this nagging feeling that Joonmyun may not be everything that he seems to be.

Baekhyun is Yifan’s other best friend, a petite man who works as a Literature professor in Kyungsoo’s university. His features are almost always twisted in a scowl although it does nothing to lessen his natural cuteness. But Kyungsoo has discovered along the way that he’s really a softie, especially when it comes to Yifan.

Baekhyun tries to hide it, but Kyungsoo sees the fondness in his eyes. He’d think that he’s in love with the stoic author if not for Zitao, the Chinese medical student who would probably glue himself to Baekhyun if possible. It may take a sharp eye to see Baekhyun’s affection for Wufan but anyone can see how smitten he is with the tall, soft-spoken man.

Whenever he’s not busy grading homework or going on dates with Zitao, Baekhyun usually hangs out in Yifan’s large penthouse. Ever since they were children, it’s been a habit of his to raid Yifan’s library.

He’s halfway through a Robin Cook novel when his cell phone buzzes.

“Hello,” he answers, not bothering to look at the caller ID.

“Baekhyun-sshi,” Zitao’s voice filters through his ear. “I’m done with my rounds today. I’ll come pick you up?”

Baekhyun tries hard not to grin stupidly. “Okay.” He fails. Stupid mouth.

He hears the library door open just as he hangs up and a rather grumpy Yifan sticks his head in.

“Will you be staying for dinner?” he inquires stiffly, his tone suggesting that Baekhyun’s answer should not be in the affirmative. Baekhyun fights the urge to laugh. Typical Yifan to kick out his bestfriend so he can spend some quality time with a certain wide-eyed boy.

“Oh, I’d love to. But I’m meeting Zitao in a while. I promised to attend this charity event with him.”

“Good. Now get out.”

This time, Baekhyun snickers.

Mr. Ace is Yifan’s favorite stuffed animal.

One of the many weird things about the novelist is his fascination for children’s toys. He has a whole room filled with model trains, action figures, teddy bears and all these other playthings that would put any child’s collection to shame.

But Mr. Ace the cute alpaca is special, always tucked against Yifan’s arms whenever he’s working or sleeping or eating or doing anything that doesn’t involve a lot of movement really.

After months of living with Yifan, Kyungsoo has witnessed most of the writer’s peculiarities. One of which is his attachment to Mr, Ace, an important part of their household because Yifan needs him to be within reach at all times.

Mr. Ace gets a new ribbon every few days, or a new hat. Kyungsoo thinks it’s ridiculous that a grown man would spoil an inanimate object. But then again, Yifan has never been a fan of anything conventional and he had too much money in his bank account.

Mr. Ace is a constant companion and a witness to the lives of Yifan and Kyungsoo.
