I think it's time for an update with a lil bit of substance.

Youtube has been my latest time killer and I thought I would take it upon myself to inform you fine bloggin' people about several tasty tidbits I have stumbled across.

Live Weezer footage - Putting out mostly mediocre, mainstream fodder in recent years, I have forgotten how great some of Weezer's material is. Pinkerton is chock full of toe tappers and knee slappers and the Blue Album is one of my all-time favorite albums (having listened to it on a fairly regular basis since the age of 14 I believe I am qualified to make that statement.) I recommend any live version of "Surf Wax America" for an enjoyable experience.

Beck - In one video I saw he performs "Debra" clenching the microphone and wailing into it like a '70s era gospel singer. He also has a full backing band to boot complete with several soul sisters harmonizing on back-up vocals. (Girl, I wanna get with you / and your sister / I think her name's Debra)

The Arcade Fire and David Bowie performing "Wake Up" on some show broadcast on CBS. This is an absolute jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring, moving, blah blah blah performance that is simply something to be seen.

Enjoy.
