Daaaammmnnn...
Just saw DCI show, which intensified my desire to be in a drump corps. Anyone gots some info on auditioning? I know I'm not ready right now; I'm a total noob, but I want to know what I should practice and stuff. I'm into mallets/pit percussion. I need to compare different corps, but it's hard to really look at them head-to-head, plus, how to size up what they want from me. I mean, the Cavaliers are a top 12 and they'll accept kids with no prior corps experience, and the Blue Stars don't do sightreading for auditions. But the Cavaliers are all-male (I think), and the Blue Stars are a little far away. Does anyone have tips for me? I'm totally in over my head here.
