Massive OOC info/backstory post
Because so many people are taking Becky's workshop, I figured it might be a good idea to stick up an informative OOC post on what the character is like since I've meant to do so for a LONG time.
HISTORY1
Rebekah "Becky" Vartan was born to middle class parents in Basin City (and for the record, it's never explicitly stated where Basin City is, though fan speculation is the southwest United States based on landscape.) When she was sixteen, she discovered, amazingly enough, that sex can often equal power, and lost her virginity to a police officer in an abandoned warehouse for fifty bucks.
Not long after that, Becky joined up with the girls of Old Town - the part of Basin City that really brings forth the moniker "Sin City." There, she spent two years under the watchful eye of Gail and the twins, Wendy and Goldie. Working Old Town meant becoming streetwise fast, and it was not long before Becky learned to shoot, stab, and carry enough weaponry on her to arm several people.
Her parents, during all this time, had no idea, and thought she was simply off having a normal teenage girl's life. While Becky was raiding the pockets of killed Johns, her mom and dad thought she was shopping with friends.
In The Big Fat Kill, the graphic novel in which Becky appears, she betrays all the OTGs and is killed - in the book, by gunfire, and in the film, she's one of The Salesman's hits.
FH CANON
Obviously, my Becky is from prior to TBFK. SC-canon is so bizarre, timeline-wise, that I don't actually have a set point from which I pulled her, except that Becky arrived in Fandom within the year that TBFK would have occured.
In the game, Becky is no longer a hooker at this time, and instead lets others do her dirty work so to speak - because it's always been about power, not sex.
What you really, really need to know, if you're going to interact with Becky, is this: she is not a nice person. She is selfish, manipulative, sociopathic, short-tempered, malicious, lewd, and violent, not to mention that she's capricious and prone to mood swings.
This isn't to say that she can't form close relationships, or that she's incapable of being nice. She has moments of mercy and being downright kind; but that's not going to happen 90% of the time.
However, if your character annoys Becky, I might shoot you an email or IM about it, because she does have an extremely short fuse and very limited patience. (Which, by all means, doesn't mean you shouldn't poke at the easily annoyed girl. :))
APPEARANCE
Becky is 5'7", very slender, and completely in black and white - as though she stepped out of an old film - except for her eyes, which are still bright, bright blue. Yes, she looks exactly like Rory Gilmore, though it should be easy to tell on sight that Becky is not Rory and vice versa, because of the color thing if not the difference in attire.
Speaking of which, Becky's usual outfit, unless otherwise stated, is leather pants, stiletto boots, a black T-shirt underneath a leather jacket, and a great deal of dangly, gaudy jewelry - mostly crosses.
She's still armed at all times unless, again, otherwise stated. Everyday weaponry is a switchblade strapped to the inside of her wrist, a handgun at her hip, and usually at least two other weapons - often a second gun at her hip or strapped to her upper thigh, and/or a second switchblade concealed in a pocket or her bra. I will never, ever have her pull a weapon on any character unless I first clear it with you OOC (and absolutely never on a student of hers, no exceptions.) Becky, like all OTGs, is an excellent shot. If she shoots and misses, it was on purpose. If she stabs, she knows what she's going to hit.2
Other random stuff - Becky has a very slight Southern accent. It's not terribly pronounced, but it is noticable if you're listening for it. She'll occasionally deliberately drawl her words and adopt a more baby-like voice when wheedling for something (as shown in the film, when she's talking to Jack Rafferty) and if that happens, I'll let you know OOCly. She also smokes and can drink much more than one would think of a girl that size.
Becky turned nineteen years old as of April 5, 2006.
As far as the sex ed workshop, I'm pretty sure her primary goal will be to make as many of you blush as she possibly can. :)

1 This canon is based upon interviews Frank Miller has given. Becky was given a full name and a backstory because Miller felt that it was important that the Old Town Girls' traitor be given a reason and a life story. Becky's start in prostitution, her name, her family, and obviously everything from TBFK is Miller's; the rest is my inference.
