Me too! I really want to know what's gonna happen next with Sansa. I want her to kick Littlefinger's ass. XD Oh well, at least GRRM has said he's written some chapter's for her, he just moved them into the next book. So hopefully when he starts releasing teaser-chapters for the next book Sansa will be one of the preview POV. ...I really don't want to wait several years to find out what's gonna happen next lol.
Poor Quent. And it's depressing that it'll be years before any new Sansa chapters!
I did like Dance, but not quite as a much as the previous books. I think it's a bit less complete than the others, somehow? Tyrion, Jon and Dany are all featured very much, and have their own arcs, but the storylines I was maybe more interested in following (DAVOS, Bran, Arya, King's landing stuff etc.) sort of stopped short, and that one Jaime chapter with half a page of Brienne felt misplaced. I mean, I love Dany, but am getting frustrated with the continent of Essos; Tyrion is just travelling in circles; Jon - well.
Still, I'm so excited about S2 of GoT, AND the new book, whenever it comes. And the good stuff, it was good.
But it's like - why have one Jaime chapter in this? And continue a cliffhanger with a cliffhanger, i.e., WTH is going on with Brienne, Lady Stonheart and the rest? I really though that was too brief.
I'm more understanding and intrigued about the teasingly brief accounts of Loras (“but her brother-” “Hush.” Septa Unella turned to glare back over her shoulder at Scolera. “You chatter too much, you foolish old woman. It is not for us to speak of such things.”), and the short chapter in Dorne etc.
Ahahahah. People would burn books? But I do wonder, if she must go east to go west, how long will that take? Time-jump seems not so bad?
Forgot to say - wow, that winter is coming! THE WINDS OF WINTER.
Because people have been wondering if Brienne died or not for six years now, and having one Jaime chapter was an easy way to answer that question without committing to a whole storyline about what's going on with Lady Stoneheart etc., I'm guessing
( ... )
