I know what you mean. I actually owned S7 for probably a year before I sat down and finished watching it, and was mad the entire time.
You know what's weird? I really don't find the Lorelai and Emily relationship to be as interesting as everybody else does. I think they have an interesting dynamic (like Mrs. Kim and Lane like you said) but I just don't care as much. I feel like after awhile the bickering and the opposing viewpoints gets sort of old, and I wish their relationship went somewhere different after awhile. I means sometimes Emily changes for an episode and sometimes Lorelai changes for an episode, but afterwards they just go back to their normal fighting and witty comebacks routine.
UGH I'VE ALWAYS HATED DEAN FOR NO REASON. I think it might be because I think I knew about him cheating on Lindsay before I started watching the show, and that has ALWAYS MADE ME SO ANGRY.
OH GOD I KNOW ABOUT THE WHEEZY WAITER THING. It has haunted me ever since I met him last year and almost said out loud, "YOU LOOK LIKE JACKSON BELLEVILLE."
