The mundane is killing me. Haven't heard back from the UW. I imagine I won't. I don't know if I am strong enough at admin work on paper to get a job doing that. Maybe that is a good thing, I don't know.
I have been feeling pretty down this week so I have been keeping myself busy. I met Liz the other night after work for a drink, it quickly turned into 4. We tried to brainstorm ideas for my life. It was depressing. But otherwise, a nice time. Last night I had Anna over for the Meat-a-Model-A-Thon we have, ANTM & a meaty meal. Anna's boyfriend is a vegetarian so she requests meat meals if possible when she is out. We had chicken, butter chicken-ish dish. Barely meat, really.
I finished the World According to Garp. I really liked it a lot. I cried at the end. I grew very attached to the characters. I hate finishing a good book because you can never read it again for the first time. You will always know what is going to happen, even if only vaguely. Now, I need a new book. Maybe something a little less trashy.
We are going to Ottawa this weekend to visit our friends who moved there recently. It was a spur of the moment decision but I am glad we are getting away for a bit. I do love Ottawa. And it is always fun to take a short road trip with Chris.
