My mother dragged me out to do some last minute Christmas shopping today.
I hate crowds enough as it is...I hate it even more during the crazy holiday period. Every time my mother says she'll make this a fast shopping trip, it never is (obviously). I don't think she ever goes shopping alone, because then there'll be no one to make decisions for her. LOL.
Me, on the other hand, I love to shop on my own. I've found that I spend the most when I'm alone, so maybe that's not such a good idea after all. Haha. Probably because I spend less time making decisions, and it's more like, "Do I like it? Yes? Okay, buy!" if it's at a price that I can afford, obviously I take some more time to consider if it's something more expensive, but usually I can make snappy decisions. My mother has to ask me like 1,000 times before she actually decides on something. Gah.
The good thing about shopping with my mother is that I don't have to spend my own money. :P
I bought a pair of tights from Mango, they were on sale, like half-price and the one I picked out was the last one so I had to grab it. Some accessories, and a top. We also managed to pick out Christmas presents for 2 of my cousins, so it was a pretty good shopping trip, despite the crazy Christmas shopping crowd.
I went and bought the Spice Girls' Greatest Hits CD like a week ago, and I didn't open the packaging until today. Haha. Although the mention of Spice Girls would make some people roll their eyes, I actually quite like most of their earlier songs from their first 2 albums, when Geri was still around. Plus, I thought it was pretty worth it to get the album as it included a DVD of their music videos. I'm a sucker for free stuff. Hehe.
I was actually out shopping with a friend yesterday as well, and I bought 2 books - the 2nd Supernatural tie-in novel: "Witch's Canyon", and this true-crime book about the world's 20 worst crimes. I am looking forward to reading about all the horrific crimes detailed in the book. Whee.
I already have the first Supernatural tie-in novel, titled "Nevermore" and written by Keith R.A. DeCandido, and I thought that was pretty good. "Witch's Canyon" is written by Jeff Mariotte, who has written a series of Angel, Buffy and Charmed tie-in novels so I'm looking forward to reading the book as well. I've heard about this book of his called "Missing White Girl", and I was looking for it at the bookstore, but couldn't find it, which was why I ended up buying the true-crime book. I may go look for it again at another bookstore...the sypnosis is really intriguing.
I also bought a T-shirt, adding to the ton of T-shirts I already own. One more to my black T-shirt collection. Hahaha. My mother is constantly telling me to go for other colors, but I can't help it. I happen to like how I look in black. Sorry, Mom. :P
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, so even at the risk of sounding greedy, I would like to make 2 wishes:

Hehehehehehe. There weren't any Don Flack ones, so I had to settle for Danny Messer.
Sorry, Danny. You're hot and all, but Don is the one for me. HEE! That being said, I love them both, but I love Don just a teensy bit more than I love Danny. :D
