~ Celebrated the Chinese New Year. Earned about 200 bucks in red packets.

~ We were also visited by some relatives. I had two cousins come over who had three young boys between them. Oh, woe! I got a headache just by watching them run around the living room. One of my older cousins got out MY Transformers Ultimate Bumblebee figurine for them to play with. Mine! And without even telling me. *grumbles* He just took it out of the cabinet and handed it to the kids as if it was just some cheap toy. Grrr. I almost had a heart attack when the boys started to take apart the thing. I am still a little annoyed at my cousin for that.

~ Went shopping yesterday and today. Bought some work clothes and new shoes (heels with pointy toes). I can't wear just a pair of jeans and a T-shirt to work anymore in my new job, so I have to practically revamp my entire wardrobe. Eee. But since I get to buy new clothes, woohoo!

~ Checked out ABC's new drama, Eli Stone. Hmm, I think I like it. I had a pretty good laugh when George Michael popped up (as part of Eli Stone's hallucinations) and started singing "Faith". Jonny Lee Miller (Eli) is pretty cute, heh. He was Angelina Jolie's first husband. Hmm, maybe I'll do a recap of the pilot tomorrow. :D

~ I heard that a tentative deal has been reached between the WGA and the AMPTP. Yayyy! We might also see some new episodes from certain shows before the season is out. I am sooo happy.

~ The "Playing with Matches" episode of CSI: NY (the last one completed after the strike started, and finished by non-writing producers of the show) kind of sucked. I hate to admit that, but it did. I guess that shows how important the writers are to the show and the production process. Everything just seems off without them. Sigh. In return for Adam's absence, we were bestowed with the presence of Kendall. What's worse than that is she shared a couple of scenes with Lindsay. Yawn. I even fell asleep halfway through while watching it the first time around. Part of the reason was because it was pretty late when I was watching it, and also I was sorta lying down at the same time. It was just very difficult to focus on the episode. I wonder what will happen to the conclusion of  "Down the Rabbit's Hole".

~ I have one more week to while away before I start work. Boo. I will surely miss lazing around at home and doing absolutely nothing.

~ I just finished reading A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, by Dito Montiel. The novel was a basis for the movie of the same name, which starred Shia LaBeouf as a younger version of Montiel himself, with Robert Downey Jr. playing the adult version of Montiel. The novel is sort of like a diary of his life as a teenager in 1980s Astoria, Queens and beyond. The movie (what I know of it, since I have never seen it) is a more angst-driven plot, whereas the novel is a bit more light-hearted in nature. I borrowed it from the library, which is why I have to get through it fast. *lol*

~ I also have a bunch of other books which I bought, but haven't touched yet. Hahaha.

shopping, babble, csi: ny, i are ranting, books, eli stone
