Post Christmas Update

Dec 29, 2006 10:50

Well everybody else is posting...why not me? I actually feel kind of bad because I've pretty much abandoned lj for myspace...ahh oh well.

So Christmas eve was lame-o! But we finally watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation for the first time and it was pretty funny.

Christmas morning I was up at seven and opened my stocking. Inside was a Nat King Cole cd, a Freank Sinatra cd, a flasing tiara magnet thing..., candy, gum, Starbucks card, eyeliner, lip gloss, and that is about it. Then I set the table and mom was cooking breakfast. About 8 breakfast was almost ready as everybody in the house discovered when our fire alarms went off. If there ever really is a fire we're all going to die because none of us ever respond to it anymore except to plug our ears.

Then we opened presents.

I recieved...

*Martha Stewart's Guide to Homekeeping (its pretty much as big as two Bibles and its like $50...) so....

*An mp3 player from RCA holds about 160 songs....My parents called it an ipod for two days and I was like ITS NOT AN IPOD!!! :)

*Then I got a book about Esther that I'm pretty psyched about.

*I got a large set of Clinique makeup from gRANDMA

*I got a wonderful set of MaryKay brushes (very nice)

*I got a locker mirror/clock/basket from one aunt

*I recieved a nice large bag from my other aunt

*I got POTC2

*can't think of anything else...Oh well I did get my flute and music stand early (one on purpose, one on accident)

Then my mom's side of the family came over and then we ate. Then we opened presents. I got an Estee Lauder makeup set/brushes from my aunt, and a $39 gift card to Best Buy from my Uncle, and a $40 gift card to Macy's from my cousin in law.

My mom and I went to the mall the next day to use gift cards. At Best Buy I purchased Uptown Girls, Pride and Prejudice (the new one..I still wnat the old one on dvd for college, but it was in an awesome set that was $40) and the soundtrack to High School Musical (I still need to get the movie :) ).

At Macy's I went in and it took an hour to buy three pairs of socks. There were so many people in there and it was so hot and crowded and unorganised. I finally picked out the socks and went to a register. After about 10 minutes there they were like, oh, the register is broken. So then I found another one hidden in the corner with only one customer so I was like "Home free!"

So I went there and the lady at the register was old and really slow and was making a lot of conversation and then the lady in front of me was freaking out because she couldn't find the skirt she want to buy. Then I said, "Isn't that a skirt on your arm?" then the ladies started talking about how observing I was. Then the stupid reciept machine broke and I was left standing there for another 10ish minutes while she attempted to fix it. FINALLY I was able to purchase my socks.

Then I went outside and gave the rest of my gift card to mom and sighed YOU find something. Sure enough, ten minutes later she comes out with a cte shirt that used up the rest of the gift card. I couldn't even get through the register in the amount of time she was in there. Maybe its a skill you develop when you get older???

We also stopped at a kiosk and mom bought me an awesome calender of france that has writing in english, french, and german.

The I went home, exhausted.

Thats about it.

Oh, last night I convinced my mom to go to Night at The Museum. She wanted to go to Charlotte's Web (which I alos want to see) but I convinced her to go to this one.

It was pretty amazing. Simple fact. But I've never seen Dick Van Dike play a bad person before....it was kind of sad :(

OPh well....

Have a fabulous afternoon! (morning)
