So it occurred to me as I was looking at everyone's posts that I haven't actually posted here for a very long time. Since it also occurred to me that I have become something of a recluse as of late, and that I miss you guys a lot, I think I'm going to start making more of an effort to put stuff up here again. I'm already blogging almost every day for my English class so that will probably make up a bulk of my postings here too but I will try to add a little for the LJ crowd as well.
Starting with today:
I have found my newest favorite study nook on campus. Tired of the same old Van Pelt (our big main library) scene, I picked up my books today after Stat and walked over to the Fisher Fine Arts Library. I love the architecture in there but something about the combination of eerie silence and the very tall ceilings usually ends up distracting me. Today though, I went exploring and after walking up the 4 flights of stairs from the entry hall, I hit a dead end. Returning to the library-proper, I looked around and saw the spiral staircase that goes up on one side of the room. I climbed the stairs and voila: there was a small row of bookshelves on a tiny second floor with desks interspersed between them. It is much cozier than the large hall but still enjoys a nice view of the hall and the students studying down below. I think I will be very productive there!
Anywho, I should probably get back to studying. I can't wait for Thanksgiving!
Much Love,
Ben
