first day of summer
heh so I got up at about 12:30, but still somehow took a few naps today. was invited to matt's graduation party at the beach but I don't even know him that well so I didn't go.
so anyways I got up and saw that there was a lot of laundry to do. meh I'll do it, I know she(my sister) won't so I spend most of the day doing the laundry. I do the darks and find white soap streaks all over them, so I re-rinsed them. then my sister wants to go to a party so my mom asks me to cook the spaghetti which I don't really mind doing cause I was gonna make banana bread anyways because I looked in the refrigerator and hmmmm strawberries...they're all moldy no way to salvage these(actually my mom says she'll make jam)....hmmm bread....it's as a hard as a rock, but I guess I can use that for bread crumbs or something. then I looked at the bananas....ok they are over ripe I'll make banana bread before they go bad so I get my mom's recipe for it and see ok "unsweetened baking chocolate" (I use a chocolate easter bunny), sugar.....can't find it so I pour honey in, margarine....have none, I use butter. so I go and make it and ummmm eh I guess it's ok, I havn't tried it yet though.
so then back to the laundry, time to put it in the dryer the lint trap won't fit in the place for it.....oh wow there is a whole lot of lint down there(it was too much of a buildup for hte trap to fit there anymore) so then I try pulling it out but my hands are too big to fit there, so I look for the needle-nose plyers can't find them...maybe mom took them upstairs while she was retiling....channel locks...maybe that'll work(it doesn't) so then I get the vacuum cleaner and try using the nozzle to suck it out....the clumps are too big to be sucked up so I just used it to pull it out. then my mom comes in and sees what I'm doing so she gets me an extension that doesn't quite fit so I just hold the thin attachment over the hole and hope I don't get a face full of lint. eh it worked out. oh and somewhere in there I washed my bedsheets, my mom get me a new pair of swim trunks, I got ninja scroll on dvd, and I did the dishes
but yeah, I love my sister and all, but she never does anything around the house unless my parents yell at her too. I mean all she did today to help was empty the dishwasher only after my mom yelled at her too...eh I guess I'm kinda used to doing stuff like that though, I'm the oldest of my cousins so I used to watch them and be firm when they did something wrong and wash their hands and feet after they played but yeah... I mean I don't do as much around the house as I should but...meh rambling. anyways yeah at least I got a lot of sleep, not a bad way to start off summer I suppose.
