Sheets were sent around earlier in the week about the exam schedule, and I can't believe I didn't realise that these exams stretched out for two entire weeks. It's almost obscene. I vaguely remember Gideon being an absolute wreck before we left last year, but I figured it was Emmeline crushing his spirit as she tends to do. Positively evil, that ( Read more... )

In my copious amounts of free time I have been... Three of us? Presumptuous prat.

And I was an absolute wreck as you say because I do not find exams an entertaining way to pass the time.

Oh come off it. Emmeline already knows the shade of yellow that the daisies are going to be on the damned kitchen drapes.

I don't either. Sometimes.

Don't tell her I hate yellow.

Only because they are 'boring'.

I almost told her you're colourblind so anything would be futility, but you had to go ruin that with your stupid 'honesty', didn't you? Maybe she would consider a pattern change--to impaled doves.

You find them boring or I do? I think boring exams is one thing we can agree on.

I am partly colorblind, so it wouldn't be a complete lie. You can charm them if you want impaled doves.

You do. I was too busy trying to pass them to be bored.

What do you mean partly colourblind? I'm not partly colourblind. How could you be and I'm not?
And I think I will.

Ah. Which is completely different I suppose.

I'd rather have immediate blindness because of my stupidity than waiting for a potion to make its way through my system and then wake up blind.

That would be an amazing parting gift, wouldn't it?

Depending on how well it worked.

I'm not sure which would be worse. Take someone vain. Someone like Davies. Would it be worse for him to be blind all his days, or to be so nearsighted he needs glasses six inches thick?

In either case, he won't be able to see himself, so I think he gets off the better for it.
