The success of the Harry Potter series has made this sort of thing very common, but it's just bizarre hearing American women use terms like "bloody" or "dosh" or "loads" instead of the American-standard "lots."

Americans trying to speak with an English accent are something I have yet to experiance but the mental imagry is a little scary!
