I realized Friday night, after my last gym workout for a month, that the boys were in hot water, and not just the storms that followed them to Indy for the weekend.  The geniuses left and only had dry red wines open in the house.  Now, I'm fairly good at judging my wines, but I have no idea what system they have in their wine collection any more!  So I had one glass with dinner, that got chugged like vodka shots (yeah, I know, bad Birdie!).  Did my sunning, and reading, and basically lounged around all day Saturday.

Sunday, oh good lord, Sunday......  Sunday was a small choir and normal sized congregation, thanks to the wedding in Indy.  Mass as usual, until intercessions, when one of the congregation fainted.  Now, I don't just mean "I can't breathe and my brain shuts down" type, this was complete unconsciousness for 15-20 minutes.  The best thing about it was that he was literally surrounded by a pair of doctors, a pair of nurses, an anesthesiologist, a psychiatrist, and some other kind of medical professionals.  As per 'tradition' in the church, the priest tried to continue, but quickly realized that this was serious and he pushed the Pause button.  We all sat back down, the substitute pianist and I tried to play soothing music to fill the odd silence.  The other great thing about the whole situation, was the priest getting the prayer book and chrism from the sacristy and performing the Annointing of the Sick at the back of the chapel as the ambulance guys were wheeling him out.  Now, you'd think the whole thing would have delayed mass and let us out later than the usual 12:15.  You'd be wrong.  :)  We actually still got out on time.
