Halloween Challenge: autumn
The sun is still warm, but the wind is already cold. The days become shorter and darkness makes a bid to rule the world. Leaves are turning red and gold. The scarves, gloves and hats find their way out of the wardrobes. Pupils return to school and graduates have to find their way in the new reality: the world of adults.
Metaphorically, it's the time to reap a sweet or bitter harvest of one's life, look back at one's achievements/failures, and maybe think of winter-with fear, longing or peace.
In other words, ladies and gentlemen,
AUTUMN
is this year's challenge.
If this spurs your inspiration, feel free to share your impressions with us in a form of art or fic.
Lily and Severus have to be the main focus of your work, even if they do not meet eye to eye.
All genres and ratings are allowed.
All works have to be new, never posted before.
Fic has to be over 1,000 words, betaed/grammar and spell checked/without glaring mistakes, art has to be something more than quick and dirty sketch.
Posting will be anonymous. It's more fun that way. Please do not post your work elsewhere/do not reveal your authorship until the master list is up.
There are no sign ups. You simply send your work to orpheus_on_samhain_night@yahoo.co.uk when you're done. Art in *.jpg, *.gif or *.png format, fic in *.doc, *.odt, *.rtf or *.txt format with all necessary HTML codes you wish to include (bold, italics, etc.). Please remember to send the appropriate header along with your work.
