Kawashima Umika attends her first kimono show
On August 25th, actress Kawashima Umika (18) appeared as a special guest at Suzunoya’s ‘Seireien Kimono Show‘.
As this marked her first time attending a kimono show, Kawashima expressed, “I’m nervous.” She also expressed her feelings about adulthood saying, “In 2 years, I’ll be 20-years-old, so I feel I have to pick out a kimono for myself.”
Kawashima, who serves as Suzunoya’s image character, commented, “To me, kimonos are familiar items. I want to convey its goodness to the people of my generation.” On this day, the actress tried on three kimonos, and received many compliments from the crowd.
This year’s ‘Seireien Kimono Show’ will run until August 26th at Hotel New Otani.
