Below are some of my thoughts on the 2024 election results that received little coverage.
J.D. Vance has a promising political future. He is likely to be his party’s next presidential nominee and even a future president. He is young and charismatic and if he plays his cards right, he has the potential to have an aircraft carrier named after him someday.
Democrats are promising some serious soul-searching, vowing to reconnect with their voters and update their policies to fit current needs. Great news!
Despite widespread media predictions of a close race or even a Democratic victory, major newspapers conspicuously refused to endorse Harris at the last moment. The election ended in a landslide victory for the Republicans. Strange.
In 2024, women’s rights seem to revolve around abortion, with problems like health care, schools, daycare, and family-related issues playing a minor role.
Millions of relationships and friendships across the country have ended as a result of this election.
The people who inherit a stable democracy with free elections, a functioning police and judicial system, a thriving economy and no real military threats, tend to be the ones who appreciate it the least.
