Success

I gave my presentation today in my Environmental History class. It was on the specific success of the group Ducks Unlimited, a land restoration and preservation group founded by sportsmen, with the goal of maintaining wetlands habitats for duck populations. It went really well. I think I was the only person that actually practiced her talk to make sure it was under five minutes, like it was supposed to be. I had to cut out a lot, but I was able to keep the main points in.

It's absolutely freezing out. I thought I didn't mind the cold. I thought that riding a bike was fine. Good lord. It's in the single digits. It hurts to breath! I walked last night to Jim's TIMARA concert. He rocked the house! Well, rocked it as much as one can with a CD of moby-esque music. wooo! Then there was the UU interest meeting. I love the people, and I'm glad I'll have another group with whom to do activities. We're planning on a de-stress thing for reading period. All are invited, as long as you believe in "the worth and dignity of every person." :)

class, cool things
