I loved all of it, but what really got to me the most was Gina and Holt. She turned on airplane mode! And she left the precinct with no hesitation, and he wanted her to join him with no hesitation. Their friendship has become so great.
I just love every pairing on that show, including trios. Yes, that makes sense.
It was the Victoria Day weekend, which often falls on May 24, which is the same digits as a large case of beer, so it's known as May Two Four. The grand tradition among those that have one, is opening up the cottage for the summer. Much Facebook footage of children leaping into lakes for the first time of the year. (No, the lakes are not frozen.)
If you don't have a cottage, your children are kept from sleeping by fireworks, which are done on both Sunday and Monday nights, for some reason.
This is also the milestone where you can almost always plant whatever you want in the garden without worrying about frost. If it's still chilly, maybe hold off on the basil. But everything else, go nuts. So the garden centres are all packed, both with the good plants, and tons and tons of people.
During the other long weekends, of course, it's all about the igloos. Except Canada Day which is basically the same as Victoria Day. Beer, lakes, gardening. Or igloos. Canadian long weekends.
I feel like there's not much to report from this week, other of course than Stanley Cup drama. Which is more fun than getting annoyed by the Padres.
Well, there was also the B99 season finale, which was my second-favorite finale so far. Gosh, I can't imagine what the two finales have in common : ).
Hope everyone has excellent holiday weekends! Or regular weekends for the non-Americans.

We had our Canadian long weekend last week. It's now a distant memory.
