I have high hopes that my itchy nightmare is almost behind me, as my apartment gets fumigated in the morning. I am trying to put all of my clothing/shoes/bedding I'm not currently using through the dryer to kill anything that may be living on it. This has been hell. Those damn bugs need to vacate my apartment IMMEDIATELY.
In other news, I started training for a new project at work. It's going to be super high profile and fall almost completely on my shoulders, so I'm sure I will be a complete and total mess by mid-June, when everything has ramped up. Training isn't going too badly, though, so that's a plus. My brain is slightly fried, however. I'm glad my trainer cancelled tomorrow's session.
My parents are coming down here on Sat. for a baseball game (we've gone to a game for my dad's birthday for about four years running now) and to help me put mattress cases on my bed. I'm looking forward to it since it's been a crappy week dealing with this bed bug nightmare. Tomorrow I'm going to a gallery/mural showing for Shepard Fairey, who just painted a massive mural on the side of one of the buildings downtown. I'm pretty psyched.
Well, I have to go move some furniture away from the walls, so I hope you all have something super planned for le weekend!
DIE BUGS DIE. Keep us updated how the apartment is doing!
Oh I hope the game you go to is just as exciting as that one! Why does Detroit have a ferris wheel? Or something like that? Am I crazy or did you say that they did have one?
I will definitely be letting you all know if/when I am bug freeee. I just cleaned out a drawer and found a bug skeleton. So gross.
Haha you are not crazy. We have a ferris wheel and merry go round in the park. I have no idea why, other than that the owners are made of money (they also own the Red Wings and Little Caesar's Pizza), so they put a ton of money into the park. I'm glad they did because it makes a ton of people visit and spend money here. ;) I just googled the old park, and apparently it opened the same day as Fenway! Fun fact.
I've spent the evening watching youtube videos of people hitting for the cycle. This is unrelated to almost everything but this is the most appropriate place to place it.

Who are the tigers playing on Saturday?
Reply
The Tigers are playing the Astros, who they beat today with an 11th inning walk off home run. :D
