Hey folks!

So I've still been re-watching Lost during the daytime (since I can't stream anything then) and I've been mainly watching season 1 because when I fall asleep the menu screens have nice ambient nature sounds. But anyway - I really liked Lost when it aired - I was even one of the few people who enjoyed the finale. and I would always overlook the million little problems that would annoy everyone else about the show. But now during this re-watch it is just annoying the crap out of me for some reason. Jack is a terrible leader. Everyone gets unreasonably angry all the time and everyone makes terrible decisions and I just want to punch all of these characters.

On the other hand - I've been watching Veronica Mars at night (I'm in the middle of season 2 right now) and that has been a joy to watch. Why the heck was it ever cancelled?

In other news - my mom got the maple baby a pair of baby jeans. And these jeans have fully functional pockets. Freaking baby jeans can fit more in their pockets than most women's jeans. This is pocket injustice and it's infuriating.

HOW IS MAPLE BABY? IS HE HUGE ALREADY? HAS HE STOPPED VOMITING ALL OVER THINGS (my nephew vomited on EVERYTHING)?

LOST! It was my life and I loved it and I never nitpicked things! I was just soooo annoyed with Jack, he was the WORST! And Jears (Jack's tears - he legit cried all the time). And I agree, everyone was angry all the time. Just chill dudes a little!

VM was the best during seasons 1 and 2 and then they changed its format a bit and then it moved to CW and lost some viewership during the transition period and was ultimately canceled. But season 3 is terrible compared to the first 2 so I get why it was canceled. The movie makes up for all of it.

Maple baby is good! He is almost completely out of the newborn size clothes and into 0-3 month stuff! He actually does pretty well with not vomiting most of the time - though the times he does pick are usually when he is on my chest and I don't have a burp cloth down for some reason. The boy likes to pick his moments.

Jack is TERRIBLE! Haha, you're right, he does cry all the time! And I hate how Kate asks him for permission sometimes for things that she should not have to ask anyone for permission for. Their relationship is really not healthy a lot of the time. Also I've been getting annoyed at all the times that characters are like "We NEED to go here" or "We NEED to do this" for no real reason. BUT I did get super emotional today when I was watching the season 1 finale and I realized that when Walt is sailing away on the raft and Vincent tries to swim after him, but Walt tells him to go back to the island THAT IS THE LAST TIME THAT WALT SPEAKS TO HIS DOG EVER.

I'm glad then that VM was cancelled before too many terrible seasons - and I'm glad that I have the movie to look forward too!!

Here is a maple baby pic for you:

OMG LOOK AT HIS NOSE AND LIPS AND TINY FINGERS AND EVERYTHING!!! AHHHHH, I WANNA COME UP AND PINCH HIS CHEEKS!!!! SOOO PRECIOUS!!!

Jack is the worst and I hated their relationship because it was obvious that they both had problems and were toxic to one another. Their make out in the corridor in the future was hot, yes, but other than that, nope, nope. Jack was too self righteous and made Kate feel miserable most of the time.

It could have gotten better but CW didn't want to go on with it, which is understandable. They were pretty supportive about the movie though.

Jack and Kate are SO TOXIC for each other. I always felt like the writers were doing Kate a disservice - especially in later seasons, I just felt like they only used her to move the plot forward, she never really got to grow on her own. And yes Jack is SO self-righteous. Ugh. Hurley should have been the hero-character from the beginning.

YES! They forgot about Kate for a while and focused solely on Jack, it was terrible. And then they ditched that evil kid Aaron to her and that was even worse. Evangeline looked super pretty through and through so that was a plus.
Hurley was the hero the entire time IMHO. Hurley cries, I cry. Remember when stupid Michael shot Libby?!?!?!??!

Stupid Michael!! Why did he shoot Libby!! I can't even remember why he shot Ana Lucia - but I'm sure that was probably unnecessary too.

Hurley was the best. Remember when he threw a hot pocket at Ben Linus?

He was trying to free Ben and they were in his way? Ana Lucia was intentional, Libby was accidental, which made it worse.

THAT SCENE WAS GLORIOUS. Ben's face made it even better.

They need to keep things handy like the fists of hair they pull out of grandparents' hair.

That is the best reason for watching a particular season of tv I have ever heard in my life.

I really need to start Veronica Mars again! I only made it to early season 2. To be fair I think this is because I bullied the boyfriend into watching seven seasons of parks and rec with me as an immediate priority.

Baby jeans don't need pockets!! What is maple baby carrying around, tiny baby keys? Side note, shopping at outdoor/adventure stores last weekend I saw a tiny pair of baby rockclimbing shoes and my ovaries exploded.

Yes definitely start Veronica Mars again! I'm really liking season 2, it's got some nice plot twists in there! It's completely understandable though that Parks with the boyfriend would take priority - he had to experience that before you could move on to anything else.

The really terrible thing about baby pockets is not just that they have no reason to carry anything in them, ever - it's that the baby will grow out of them before even having the fine motor skills to grab something with his fingers and put that thing inside anything else (much less a tiny pocket)! That being said though, I do think that baby pockets are very cute. And they would infuriate me less if women's clothing had more pockets. Baby rock climbing shoes sound like the most adorable things EVER! I think the baby clothing industry preys on people's ovarian explosions so that they buy things just because they are undeniably cute and then you get home and realize that there is no reason for this product to exist in the first place.

I will get right back into VM! As soon as we are up to date in Outlander... and I watch the newest Mad Men... maybe after the GoT season finishes... and after we finish Last Man on Earth... and I've been meaning to watch the Spoils of Babylon.... on man, too much tv.

I would imagine that it's a risk with baby pockets that baby could shove things like, say, mashed peas, into said pockets, leaving a fun surprise for mum to find as she does the laundry. Is this true?

Boyfriend and I are both rockclimbers so baby rockclimbing shoes are particularly potent to me. He's also showed me a video of a toddler on a baby rockclimbing wall, which is insane but adorable.

Baby pyjamas are another funny one. So cute, but aren't all baby clothes basically pyjamas? It's not like they're changing out of business attire into comfy flannels at the end of a hard day at the office.

There really is just too much TV.

And yeah - babies would probably definitely shove whatever was within their reach into those pockets and I would not want to clean that. Actually, I bet cleaning the pockets out of kids of any age would not be fun. I should really teach this kid how to do his own laundry as soon as possible. And you are totally right about baby pajamas - especially for newborns it's just so much easier to get them in and out of the little footie pajamas because you don't have to pull anything over their giant heads so I think maple baby spent his first three weeks almost exclusively in footie pajamas (and then I only switched to other, more complicated clothes because I realized he was going to outgrow them before ever wearing them)

Toddler rock climber! That sounds amazing and adorable and I'm going to have to see if I can find that video on youtube.

I have never watched any Veronica Mars, i'd like to one day because I do enjoy Kristin Bell. As for Lost I don't think I made it past season 3, I would like to watch the rest but I think I would have to do a re watch from the start.
What does one put in babies pockets??
I have a pair of jeans that has fake pockets, this is so pointless, WHY!!!

You should definitely see Veronica Mars then! Kristen Bell is wonderful and I love her character a whole lot.

If you ever do a Lost re-watch (and yeah you'd probably have to start at the beginning again) let me know what you think of the later seasons - they have their ups and downs, but I definitely enjoyed them more than a lot of other people I know.

I HATE FAKE POCKETS SO MUCH. WHY DO PEOPLE ASSUME THAT I DON'T NEED POCKETS? I HAVE STUFF TO CARRY AND I DON'T WANT TO DRAG A BAG EVERYWHERE
