I am here kind of tonight. I'm in the middle of working on my crazy quilt project. I just made a Cones of Dunshire square and it turned out so well! Now that the show is officially over, I am determined to finish this quilt this year.

Not too much else is happening. I am officially over winter. I tried to go shopping last weekend to buy some new cute clothes in anticipation of spring, but I only managed to buy one dress. Otherwise there was nothing remotely appealing to even try on, let alone buy. I think I might wear the dress with leggings tomorrow just because I am so sick of all my winter sweaters.

Next week I get to start work on this new committee at work, and I am super pumped. I'm also going to a waffle restaurant this weekend (as in, the menu is based around waffles). So between all of that and the quilting, I may actually be turning into Leslie now that the show is over.

There are way worse people to turn into than Leslie, so no worries. I can't wait to see the finished quilt product!

Is the waffle restaurant Wafel? There's one of those not far from my friends' place in Chicago. I've never been, but am deeply intrigued by it. Super cool story. ;)

I'm actually not sure what the restaurant is called. My sister went there last weekend, and it was apparently so good that it warrants going again this weekend. Which is fine with me. :)

Hahahahaha...I don't think I could even name the nearest Waffle House. That feels like a random restaurant I only see on the turnpike.

I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT YOUR QUILT, WHAT ELSE DO YOU HAVE PLANNED BEYOND WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW ABOUT?

My quilt and my crazy fandom craft project are my two biggest things going on right now, but I have a feeling that I may just randomly make and send surprises to people throughout the spring. I have crafting ADD lately. :)

I also need to start working on a baby sampler for my coworker.

I can't wait to see this quilt when it is done - how many more squares do you think you'll add?

And more importantly, what kind of waffles are you going to get this weekend? (are there really enough kinds to base a whole menu around?)

I'm aiming for 63 squares. Right now I have 51. We'll see if I can come up with 12 more. I may settle for 56.

My sister said there are a crazy number of waffles at this place. I will have to post about it after I go. It sounds like something from a dream,

I have a pile of sweaters I've worn in the past two weeks that need to be washed and I have no desire to wash them any time soon. I want no more of them! I've become obsessed with Persephone and Hades as of late and used some amazing art as inspiration for a mix I made for last_empress this week. I'd say go on 8tracks and check it out, but I've been warned that the site has been compromised.

That mix sounds awesome! That was always one of my favorite Greek myths.

I just washed most of my sweaters on Monday. I kind of want to just put them all away until next fall but I know that's impossible. :( I just want it to be spring!
