I found this community at exactly the right time, and it means the world to me.
I started watching Parks in mid season 4. It didn't take long for me to find the fic on this community, but after a while I found myself being a total creeper and just reading the Thursday night threads because you all seemed like awesome people. Eventually a post by saucydiva about community guilted me out of hiding, and I tentatively started interacting with more and more people. It was weird. I didn't have a tumblr at the time, and I've never been especially good at putting myself out there, and I didn't think I had much to offer the community seeing as I'm not a content creator? But I did it anyway

Yes, well, for most people (that's to say, people who haven't spent time in Texas) it might be a long story.
For the curious: Bride of Emily got the gun AS A GIFT FOR BEING IN SOMEONE'S WEDDING, BECAUSE THAT'S A THING THAT PEOPLE DO?! And I told him he was not allowed to keep it in the house until he had somewhere to lock it up, so that's the story of how we have a mostly empty gun locker in our basement.
My friend's husband went skeet-shooting with his groomsmen before the wedding (while the bridal party was getting dolled up, and they were a mix of Virginia and Tennessee people, but I don't think he gave out guns...
Awww, this is just too lovely. I remember when you delurked! It was a joyous moment, though little did any of us know the consequences (eg. how many people would end up sleeping on your floor). Also, I know what you mean about having to remind yourself that you HAVEN'T met some of the community.
