Gah, I had actually meant to address this in the original post. This is largely about Ben coping with their break-up. We've had plenty of fic where one side or the other is just dealing with the breakup, like the most recent one by rikyl. In art it's just harder to show without being completely ham-fisted, like with a thought bubble. I imagine most pieces from this series will have both of them, since I like drawing them together, and I'm an optimist, and hopefully they won't stay broken up for long. This one just happens to be following the current timeline where they are not spending any time in the same room.

Also, I had hoped it would be okay since it was prompted here in this community.

:D OMG this is all kinds of awesome! I love everything about this and the Snakehole lounge scene is especially wonderful (I love the logo, its crazy good). I now can see a whole comic book on the adventures of Batben and his Pawneean sidekicks. Therefore I am not at all opposed to a continuation of this w/ Leslie and Ben in costume, in fact I highly encourage it ;)

Gotta give the credit on that one to stillscape. I asked for mundane things they could be doing in their costumes, and shopping for socks fit the bill. :)
