The Petroleum Museum has several textiles/garments that are stored on hangers. However, the hangers currently used are NOT archival, ie. they will contribute to the garment's deterioration. So I want to make padded hangers which will help preserve the garments.
IKEA has wooden hangers that can be used to make padded hangers. Theirs are much cheaper than Wal-mart's. And I meant to go to IKEA to get some while I was in Houston (because IKEA doesn't ship them), but didn't due to time and energy constraints.
So here's my request: If anyone is planning on going to IKEA in the near future (say, in the next couple of weeks or before October 31st), could you pick up two packages of the PROPP hangers for me? They are only $2.99 per package of eight. I will certainly reimburse you and will cover the costs of shipping to Midland.
Just let me know. Otherwise, I'll fork over the $5/package for those at Wal-mart. Thanks!
