As a wonderful finale to my week, I decided to attend the Math Dept's weekly Colloquium (Guest Lecture). If I wrote an article for The Journal about it, it would be titled: "Austalian Math Professor From Waterloo Talks Fast: Confusion Reigns Among Undergrads" - Actually, my Number Theory prof put it best today when he said the rule for Colloquiums (one hour long) is as follows:
"Undergraduates, grad students & faculty will understand the first 15 minutes.
The next 15 minutes, grad students will understand.
The 15 minutes after that, the faculty will understand.
The last 15 minutes, only the speaker will understand."
Well, I learned a few things about Graph Theory, at least. Keuser graphs, vertices, etc. and posi-semi-definite matrices. Now I can barely type
And in other news:
INTP - "Architect". Greatest precision in thought and language. Can readily discern contradictions and inconsistencies. The world exists primarily to be understood. 1% of the total population.
