Teh Ubah Turtle!
DINKY IS ALIVE!!!!!!
July 2nd was the last day Shawna - and everyone else - ever saw Dinky Dude. The little turtle we all decided we loved, because it was so dang small, and adorable (for a turtle). Most of us were upset, most of us were sad, and everyone was confused as to how it was possible the turtle got lost. But lost it did get... and after a week, we decided it was dead.
We were wrong.
Sue called me today. Sue is Russell's mom. Russ is my next door neighbor. (therefore, so is Sue, yeah yeah yeah)
"Did you guys lose a turtle?"
"Um... recently? Not that I'm aware of... why?"
"Because, we found a turtle in our back yard."
"You...what? Alive?"
"Yep. He's alive."
"Oh my god. Is it Dinky?"
I went to check. Sure enough, it was Dinky Dude. Russell showed me... and as he did so, he was like, "It's Dinky."
I am shocked. That little turtle is tougher than I thought! Go Dinky!!! Props for figuring out how to survive in harsh conditions. I still say we ship 'em off to Dallas, and let 'em live in my uncle's pond. Hell. If Dinky survived in THIS weather... Dallas would be heaven for him.
