A truly beautiful, beautiful sight. Even old
Blokhin himself had to weep.
We grilled that Swiss cheese! It was just incredibly exhilerating and exciting to be among family, and watch Ukraine win yet again. Hell, even the British commentators were excited ("Tymoschuk! Tymoschuk!") The game was unbearable to watch because it was pretty much fire fighting fire. Which worries me (but only a little) about the game against Italy on Friday. But wow, what a rush. We howled, we hugged, and we were fucking PROUD of our boys today.
Shovkovski truly was the man of the match (and who called that one yet again? Oh yeah, me). They wasted so much breath today, calling
Buffon the best goalie in the world, but I think Shovkovski could give him a run for his money (his excessive salary, that is)! I am going to stay up passed 1am tonight just so I can get that glorious shoot out on video to cherish for years to come. I am going to have nothing to live for after the Cup is over...
Artem, you are my knight in shining armour. Your very suave psych-out gave me dirty thoughts. Please, please be my next husband.
Even if we don't make it passed Friday, they've gutted it out and made me and millions of others so proud.
(eeeeehehee!)
Watch the hilights! DO IT.
