Everywhere you turn on the internet where there are message boards & interactive pages that allow humans to prove their existance, there is always a post or a message pertaining to something along the following:
"Dont forget the CHRIST in Christmas"
or
"He is the reason for the seaon"
or
"Merry CHRISTmas"
How clever.
Christmas is a hoax. A complete and utter hoax upon all of man kind. All the biblical facts point to the conclusion that Jesus was born in the spring. Church officials chose December because humans have been celebrating everything from solstice to harvest gods during the darkest time of winter. The most predominant December celebration was the pagan Saturnalia festival. Historians believe that the church chose December 25 in an effort to adopt and absorb the traditions of the festival. Basically, Pope Julius I decided when mankind was to celerate the birth of Jesus. There is no Christ in Christmas. Just the church trying to take control of a pagan "evil" holiday.
People blindly follow the practice of their religon and complain how Christmas has become such a commercial holiday. They fail to realize that churches gain the most profit from Easter and Christmas masses. Christmas was meant to be a commercial holiday.
Im not saying I dont believe in God or celebrating Jesus. I am just expressing how sad it is that man kind could be completely fooled into celebrating December 25 all because one Pope 1500 years ago blindly picked that as the day Christ might have been born. Even more disapointing is that when someone sees that another person is not celebrating Christmas in the traditional fashion, they immediately jump to a guilt trip about how Christ is the reason for Christmas.
No, he isnt. Ill give you Easter, but Im keeping nonChristmas. And for that I wont feel guilty.
