I've been reading a lot. I just finished Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk last night. I burned through more than half of it on my trip back to Phoenix last week.
It was good to be home for a bit. I was able to spend a lot of time with my sister and mom, and got to see my brother and dad for a bit too.
Saturday night at the Skeptical Chymist was for time with friends, and I was glad people showed up to say hi, even if they had prior plans. It wasn't the best weekend to arrange something like that, and I didn't give much notice... but it was a decent turnout.
While I was in town my dad's girlfriends daughter Nicole decided to come up to Portland for Christmas. I was pretty stoked on that, because Gabe planned to go back to Detroit for the holiday and that left me alone.
So, currently I've got Nicole here, and we went shopping and rented some video games to play. It's suppose to rain the entire time she's here, so that's kind of a bummer. Lucky for me she's a 'sloth' too, so we're happy lounging and watching movies and stuff.
What I'm really really excited for is New Years. Jessie bought a flight to Portland to spend our 6th Anniversary together. -- Now we just need to figure out where we'll be when midnight strikes. I don't know anyone that's having a party... and bars are a little lame. -- We'll figure it out.
I was thinking of getting BFF tattoos while she's here. ... Ha.
Anyway, I have a stack of books to read, and don't know which one to start next. ... What a problem.
