http://www.mediafire.com/?ydrv3nd4twy Ah, since uploading I've realised that there are a few little mistakes in the labelling. A couple of tracks are in the wrong order/have the wrong name. Easy enough for you to fix.
Enjoy!
Cast List:
Esmeralda - Shirel
Quasimodo - Adrian Devil
Frollo - Michel Pascal
Gringoire - Cyril Niccolai
Clopin - Boddy Julienne
Phoebus - Richard Charest
Fleur-de-Lys - Claire Cappelletti
My thoughts on this version... It's obvious that special effort has been put into casting people who sound incredibly alike to the originals(Gringoire/Quasimodo especially), which to me defeats the point of producing a brand new recording if you are going to cast actors who are almost copies of the original cast. However, I rather like Phoebus who is somwhat similar in voice to Fiori (can you tell them apart in 'La Volupté'?) but definately with an additional shot of testostorone (which pleases me =P) Though, the real gem of this version, as heartlilys initially pointed out, is Shirel as Esmeralda. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful voice.
And the downside? The (to me) critical flaw to it all? Frollo. Le sigh. It's not that Pascal has a particulaly weaker voice to Lavoie, but that he just sounds so... aged. Of course, Frollo is no spring chicken, but he's definately not getting in line for kidney transplants either. If anything his voice bizarrely reminds me of the original Italian!Quasimodo, which is... odd. Not to mention, his "Tu Vas Me Détruire" is pretty passionless. But, perhaps I'm exaggerating and being too harsh. I do quite like his 'Être Prêtre', so perhaps he'll grow on me over time... or not.
