Everythinggggggg ;o; My Pen Tool skillz are fail. And coloring. ionoooo. When I take it all in, it's just overwhelming. D: I'm used to the simple comforts of Photoshop, lol.
Lawl well AI is a vector-based program like Flash, so you have to play around a bit to get used to the berzier controls for the pen tool. Coloring-wise I suggest using the paint bucket tool unless you want to do something fancy.
Well that's because when you draw a line from point A to point B, the program processes it as two points and attempts to create a line or curve connecting these two points, hence the smoothness lawl.

One thing I like though is when you draw freehand using the brush tool, the lines magically becomes smooth! :D /amused dork
