the week that was... in pic spam! XD

Yup, another pic spam entry. I think I'm getting too lazy to write, ahahaha. XD

It was gori_ren's graduation on Thursday, and so I skipped a few hours of work the whole family went to Poveda to attend the whole ceremony under the hot gym roof. D: Each of the attendees had to wear a ribbon to get in. They had special yellow ribbons and seating arrangements for the parents, but I got a green "Guest" ribbon so the chairs were free for all! Good thing we arrived early, or else I'd probably be stuck in the back row. D: I mean, why are siblings only 'guests'?? :( Anyway, Janny and Chico attended too (which was so weird.. I mean, nice that they're being supportive and stuff, but weird..)

We weren't allowed to approach the stage to take photos--only the official photographers could do that so they can earn money because we're forced to buy from them. So we instead of taking pictures of Karen, we took photos of ourselves. XD ("Wanna see photos pf Karen's grad? Here's me.. me, Janny & Chico... Janny & Chico again...")

Anyway, my camera has zoom, so I was able to take a couple of shots from where I was seated. Not very good ones though. The one below is Karen getting her Outstanding Student award, which she was totally unprepared for. Her first award ever in the history of being a Poveda student! XD I'm sho proud of my shishter X3 ~♥

Um, the ceiling of the gym. The school colors are yellow and black, btw.

The whole thing started at 4pm and ended at around 7pm, hence the dark background. gori_ren and her crush Janny. Now you know the reason for her huge smile. XD

We went to Chateau to celebrate. ^_^ And since Karen's friend owns it, all Poveda graduates who ate there were given a free coffee pie! XD It looks small, but it's seriously packed with to-die-for richness that melts in your mouth. ♥♥♥

Three Chocolate Mousse. Gaaahh chocolate overloadddd ♥

Coffee Sans Rival!♥♥♥ IMHO the BEST dessert EVER! The layers of merengue were perfect!!--light and crispy, and the coffee butter icing was just right--it didn't taste like mouthfuls of plain butter! And the little coffee beans at the edges were the best parts, complementing the overall texture with a nice crunch. ♥♥♥

Ah yeah. Graduation dinner was fun. XD And Karen was all smiles that whole night! I don't think she expected Janny to come actually want to attend. But yeah, that was surprising, even for me. XD

On Friday, we had a photoshoot at work for our upcoming products. And like I've said before, one of the great things about working in a restaurant is all that FOOOOOD. After the photoshoot, we stuffed ourselves with sushi & maki, because it would have been a waste to just throw it away, of course. XD Then our sushi chef came into the room with something he called Caterpillar Maki, because.. well, just look at it. XD It's not part of our lineup, but he just made it with the leftovers. I think it looks cute. :3

On Saturday night, Karen received a graduation present from our uncle--A Persian cat named Snowy. X333 He's so floofy! X333 Snowy originally belonged to my uncle, but a few months after he got him, my uncle realized that he was allergic. ^_^' And since Karen's been wanting a cat, he gave it to her. The first few nights with us, he was really aloof and hiding all over the house, but he seems like he's getting more comfortable with us & his new home. :3

Early Sunday morning, Karen was finally free enough to join mom and I for a day trip to Tanay. Don't worry, I wasn't much of a shutterbug this time. I just took pics of the little waterfall thing beside the house, because they finally turned it on. And the flowers (lilies?) were finally in bloom, too! So here's the result of my affinity for flowers and amateur photography.

SO. That was my week. ^^ Of course it also came with its stressful moments, but they weren't enough to dampen my mood. :D

Oh! And I was able to contact my friend Herb who lives in Japan! She's actually here in the Philippines for a while, and she said she'd give me a call soon. XD ONE STEP CLOSER TO BUDOUKAN!! XDDDDDDD

Oh happy day! ♥♥♥

EDIT: If one wasabi pea does not seem spicy enough, I still strongly advise against taking a handful all at once. DX *facepalm*
