Your new Laruku stuff looks so pretty! 8D Ah, the evil different region-codes, I'm so happy my overseas version of Hitorigei 2 is all regions, can't say the same for the DVD that came with HYDE's FAITH album. *pokes it* I have yet to watch those PVs on the actual disc, found them on youtube instead. ^^; Buying DVDs from Taiwan sucks. Japanjapanjapanjapanjapanjapan @_@ Yes, I must make a large budget for my spending there. T_T I'll just save money by eating in the little takoyaki and ramen stalls. XDDD

Lol! Well, I guess APAC is really just to facilitate relationships with other schools, so they're not really strict about what events they add every year. I was able to go to Shanghai for APAC Choir when I was a junior, so I'm not really complaining. ^_^

Yeah, it's not a cold.. yet. ^^'

Takoyaki and ramen, foo~! ^o^/ At least Japanese 'fast-food' is a little more...nutritious? than American fast-food. XDD Ramen is always yummy, I think your main problem with that as a main food choice would be picking which ones to try. :P There are seriously so many to choose from! Of course, I've never been to Japan, but since Taiwan has a lot of noodle choices, I would assume that Japan does too. @@; And that's the cooked stuff, don't forgot about the instant noodle packets you can get for cheap too if you don't want to eat out! XDDD

Ah, that sounds so fun. It's a good thing that APAC wants to include more groups than just the sports teams and similar, I bet it makes trips much more interesting. :D ...although maybe that's not always a good thing. XD; (Ah! There's my misplaced pessimism! Welcome back! XD)

I love Japanese instant noodles! They come with real meat in retort pouches. XD But when it comes to food, I don't think choosing will be much of a problem. I work in a Japanese restaurant, so when I go abroad, I'll just try the ones we don't have on our menu, lol. I do want to eat in an authentic sushiya though. :3 Lately I've been taking advantage of my work by having uni (sea urchin) everyday. XD (As Uruha said, it does taste milky!) Ahh the perks of my job.♥

Actually, there are 5 Asian schools that participate in APAC: one in the Philippines, Seoul, Shanghai, Kobe and Osaka. The year before I joined the choir, they went to Kobe! T_T Each school hosts different events--for example, for one year the teams would go to Osaka for Volleyball, Kobe for Basketball, Shanghai for Tennis, Philippines for Band and Shanghai for Tennis. I had a classmate who was in Varsity Basketball and Volleyball, so he got to go abroad twice, since the events weren't held at the same time. O_O It pays to be athletic sometimes, lol.

Asian instant noodles, ftw! *o* I was amazed when I found the meat kind since I'm more used to the dehydrated veggies...and the pouches are fun to poke at. XD Ah, ulterior motives of having your job, neh? Not just earning money, but eliminating foods to try in Japan! ;D Sushiya means sushi places right? >o>; If not, my bad. I'd be careful with the sushi places, they can be pretty pricey, depending on where you go. Just make sure not to try anything that sounds too uncommon, else you might be charged a lotta money for little one bite. XD Also, have fun seeing all the strange/creative candies the Japanese have. :P Some are really good, my uncle sells some, I could recommend some to you if you'd like, lol! (Discussion of music somehow turned to food? XD;)

Owah, that sounds so cool, except for that you barely missed out on the Kobe trip. D: Lucky friend, are the basic expenses like the flight paid for by the school or would the student pay for mostly everything?

Yeah, I heard the sushi places are pretty expensive, and that some places serve endangered species. :O Interesting. lol! Ohhh I know the little Japanese candies that are like.. balls of pure sugar. XD But my knowledge of that is just up to there. I don't know if there are fancy kinds or whatever, lol.

Hmm.. well, when we went there, 50% was subsidised by the school. I don't know about now. Since it is a school event, I think 50% is a good amount, especially since it also depends on whether you want to go or not. ^^'

Endangered species? Yikes and oh noes! @@; Ohhh I know the little Japanese candies that are like.. balls of pure sugar. Which ones? XDD You could be talking about like...ten different candies there with that description. I don't think I really know any 'fancy' kinds, but I really will go look some up for you if you'd like. *cannot actually buy any because she is ba-doke* Or maybe I won't? You might want all the money you can afford to spend to get J-rock goods, which definitely last longer and are way better than candy.

About half is paid for, that is pretty good. :O Lol, your last sentence just gave me this image of a principal "Okay, you are going because you are good at sports and whatever! And even if you're not good at whatever you're signed up for, you're going, that's that! Pay up your half and then we're shipping you off! D<" XD My mind works in weird ways. >o>;
