i hate that some of the best advice i've been given comes from a 19 year old.
i've been through a lot in my life- who hasn't?
the apex of which was the ascent into college.
the apex that now is the ascent into "adulthood."
the apex that now is my first professional acting job.
learning not to play the game - ie not to step on others - but to have the confidence and (dare i say it) ego to pursue a career whose entire point is to say "look at these great choices and weep" whose entire point is to thrill and crack up and listen
to have the confidence of self mixed with the joy of reparte
one day - this say - i am and will finally get it. i'm not a swirling uneducated ball of angst and crippling jealousy and defeat and bitterness and sadness;
i am a vibrant, bright, efficient, beautiful human being who is capable and strong.
AND i will make it through moving
and boundaries
and cities
and speed traps
and health insurance
and phone bills
and change
Alive and a better, stronger, healthier person for it.
