You know what I want, that I (probably) won't get? I want Occupy Everywhere to be a political party. I want seats in congress, or at least state congresses. I want a party platform of fair wages, social support, freedom of association and information, and financial transparency. As in any functioning three-party system, OE politikariak would then form coalitions with Reps and Dems around particular issues they care about.
I want an Occupy Everywhere gubernatorial candidate. The Democratic Party is a lesser evil. Even though I believe in the efficacy of some of its members (Obama, Barca) and the virtue of some of its lines (health care reform), it still plays money politics and lacks... drum circles.
I want union reform. I want collective bargaining rights and I want "union bosses" held accountable... to workers, not to capitalists. I want a lot of things.
The best thing about 2011 has been teaching me to ask for what I want.
