I am no longer MIA.
Well, I haven't posted in a while, my bad. Been busy. Today was no exception. This is pretty much just a ramble of what's bouncing around in my head right now.
Starting off the business of my day following an ambulance to the emergency room. Apparently Kristen didn't eat anything all day, or drink much water then went to band practice which involves being outside in the Louisiana heat. Needless to say, she had a heat stroke and was dehydrated. All of this caused her to have a seizure. For a while they couldn't wake her up.
But, before that Tina, one of the younger of my nieces tossed a ball up while waiting on the buss, and it landed on the roof. Her genius idea was to climb up a picket fence and try to get the ball. Let's just say it didn't end well. She had to go to the ER. They said she was fine, just going to be sore for a while.
Both are okay now, at home. Those four are a trip. It was a very interesting hospital visit. They will keep you laughing.
The reason she was at practice today was because the first game for the highschool band is tomorrow and they needed to practice. She is only in middle school and gets to play with the high school band. They only picked a handful of students that were good enough, and she was one. I am so proud of her.
So, I get to work, a bit late due to the hospital visit and find out that they have fired three, maybe four people. Renee, the deli manager who has worked there like eight years. Milton, he has worked there like twelve. Pam has worked there for around ten. They were all stealing. They would go get stuff off the shelves and bring it to the back room to cook/eat it. Walmart found out and they have really cracked down. I feel bad for Pam, she was pretty cool. Milton and Renee, I didn't really like. I'm not glad they lost their job, but I don't feel bad. They did it to themselves. I was told from a good source that Dawn, whom I can't stand, will be fired soon.
Speaking of work we have been really short around there as of late. I have been working until one am. It really sucks, but I was low on hours so at least I am making a bit of that up with these extra long shifts.
I'm really excited, I get to see my nephew this weekend, my mom is going to get him Friday or Saturday I think. I miss that boy so much. SO yeay!!
I've also been busy reading, I started a new manga series, it's called Rosario+Vampire. I really like it. The story line follows another manga I like called Animal Academy. I'm starting on the fourth book, and they are really good. I tried to find the show to watch online but I could only find it fan dubbed, or subtitled and I just can't watch subtitles because I am dyslexic so I read slow and fan dubbed just annoys me. So yah, I guess I need to look around a bit harder.
I'll try not to disappear from LJ less, and I will try and get up to date with all my friend's journals. But for now, I am going to go to bed and try and get some sleep. Night everyone, and I hope all is going well.
