i finally got my last credit in at garza today, so i now officially have a diploma. that's lame as shit. but i got it, so that's a good thing. the water pump in my truck burnt up on the way back from school, so i have to give it to my dad to fix. tomorrow i'm going to finally put the coil pack in my corsica so i've got a ride. i need to pick up insurance for it real quick though. haven't had coverage on that piece of shit for about a year now. need to get it registered too.
tonight i'm going to trip balls. i think i'm going to go run around in the creek at 3 am covered in war paint. we'll see.
we scored a gig playing some deal called First Thursdays at Wet Salon. The High Cost of Living will be playing their last show for a long time, since Grahm is moving to canadia, so it'll be a fucking killer show. their cd release will be that night as well. they went to the studio on sunday to record 5 songs. i can't wait to hear them. they're one of my favorite bands at the moment.
supposedly there's going to be an assload of people there, so it'll be our first good gig. Charles was picked to be the artist for the month, so he asked us to play. that'll be on the 5th of august. i'll post more info when i get it.
we also landed a spot playing at someone's house party. the building is getting torn down in the next few months, all the electricity and water and everything is cut off, so they're going to run a couple extention cords out of their neighbors house and party renegade style. sounds like a fucking crunk party so we took the spot.
we've got 3 more party gigs coming up soon, so things are really starting to pick up. we're getting shirts, stickers, and hats made in the next week to give out. and i think we might go get some studio recording done next week. an old friend of mine is trying to get his studio off the ground, so we might go give hime some business. i'm not sure i dig his style too much, but i think it would be interesting to see what his style would sound like with our music. friday night we're going to try and re-record our demo one more time, and if it turns out like shit, like the other 4 times we've tried, then i think we'll go to him. he's hooking up a player price, so it might be worth it to get it done anyways.
