bonzai bitch!
i had so much fun this weekend. the party went off great. music got started later than planned, but i think that was for the better. a lot more people got to (hopefully) enjoy the music. my computer crashed in the middle of our set, and somehow the sound drivers got deleted, so i couldn't really salvage my end of the set. on top of that my mixer fucked up, the RCA cables to the amp started fucking up, and the mic cord kept cutting out. so pretty much everything that could go wrong with my set up wemt wrong. i was extremely pissed off for a while, but i got enough vodka and lemonade in me to forget about it. everyone else was awesome. it was bad ass seeing dylan and grahm play. i got a copy of their demo last week, and i've been listening to it practically every day. nothing like a concert in the comfort of your own home.
keg got floated pretty early, and plans for the 2nd keg fell through, so that kind of sucked. i don't think everyone was throwed enough. i had a bottle of jack hidden away, so i got pretty on it. stayed up late smoking waaaaay too much pot. i was still high when i woke up this morning. thanks ;)
my house is a lot less trashed than i thought it would be, especially with as many people as that. perhaps it was a good thing for me that another keg didn't show up. went outside to clean up around noon and one of my neighbors was outside. he called me over and we talked for a bit. i thought he was going to bitch me out, but he was actually really cool. he told me that he was actually trying to come over and get fucked up but his wife wouldn't let him because "she knows that we're a buncha stoners and he woulda got wasted." he even gave me an armfull of shot glasses that he was going to get rid of. we were worried about the neighbors calling the cops all night, but it turns out that he's actually pretty damn cool. i guess next time we're gonna have up it a notch :)
it was awesome to see so many people. i caught up with a lot of friends i've kind of neglected. i saw so many people i haven't seen in so long that i've forgotten that i miss hanging out with them. i made a resolution last night that i'm going to hang out with everyone that i've been meaning to hang out with all this time.
we had a house decision this morning that we were all too hungover to clean up, so me and scott left and went over to our guitar player's girlfriend's house. it's a fucking swank place. there was a few people over there so we served up some champagne and relaxed in the hot tub with some really tasty chronic. i got really toasted and layed out on the deck for a while. hung out with some women and took a walk down to the lake since it was only about a 4 minute walk away. smoked some more chronic by the water watching the sunset. went back up to the house, smoked more chronic and then we jumped on a giant trampoline for forever. very relaxing day. it was a perfect end to a perfect weekend.
