Yesterday was interesting. Andrew's journal sctag1015 has the stoner highlights, so I won't repeat them here. Just know that I was quite alarmed and clutching my potato peeler the whole time.
We watched a BIZARRE movie on Saturday night. Immortel (ad vitam), a French film (done in English) based on a French comic. It has kind of a Stargate-Sin City-Bladerunner-Sims on crack feeling. 3/4 of the cast is CG. I can't even explain it really... futuristic NYC, floating pyramids, a horny Horus, aliens, more aliens, 'Eugenics,' cryostasis, 'dayaks'... luckily my TV is stuck on closed captions, because the gods' speech wasn't translated into subs. Apparently the sub tracks were messed up, and if you put it on Spanish subs or something, you get the translated god-speak bits. But in the original English it's not there. Eh. It'd make an awesome mini-series, but trying to cram all that mess into an hour and a half doesn't flow too well. But I recommend it, if just for the insanity of it.
Andrew got disgusted with trying to chop vegetables with a butter knife, so he bought me a santoku (Japanese uber-god kitchen knife) and cutting board. I've accumulated quite a few utensils to truck over to Bobcat. Over the past 3 months Andrew and I have picked up mixing bowls, mixing spatulas, measuring cups/spoons, a draining rack, a 9X9 pan, a fondue pot (okay, so his boss just dumped that one on us), and a Rubbermaid storage set with LIME GREEN lids. Hoo yah! And that annoying egg timer, whisk set, matches, mesh deep-fry scoopy thing, and potato peeler. A fair start for an apartment. I have my dinnerware from Willowood stashed somewhere in a box too... Next item on my list: either a wok or a springform pan. Asian cuisine or cheesecake? Decisions, decisions. :P
Yay. Annoying maintenance-or-moving men outside the door. Why are they ALWAYS loud? I swear someone's moving in or out every week.
