Well, Andrew has finally gone home. So I'm actually... alone. Aiyah. The weekend's been pretty good. We watched The Empire Strikes Back tonight and Kinsey last night. Kinsey was actually really good... and a bit disturbing. And funny, though not always in the 'right' way.

The free wireless has been... unreliable. It's fast enough so that I can stay connected to AIM pretty well, but not always fast enough to actually load pages. And it randomly disconnects sometimes... eh. I guess I'll have to contact Alltel about fixing our damn ethernet connection. Bah-- and right now it's 'unavailable.' Grrness.

Today Andrew and I went to PetSmart to get some more cat food. The past few days we've been giving Melody a mix of Science Diet and Special Kitty to stretch out the supply of Science Diet, so we finally got some more cat food. This time I went a step up and got Eukanuba, which seemed remotely less shitty than Science Diet, and it looks like mini Cocoa Puffs. And she luuuuuuuuvs it so far. We got her a harness and leash too. This morning she successfully squirmed past Andrew and got outside, though she only got a few feet toward the laundry room before Andrew seized her; so we figured it'd be a good time to start training her on a harness so we can take her outside... maybe if we take her out in a controlled manner she won't be as eager to 'liberate' herself in an UNcontrolled manner. Yeah... So right now she's prowling around in a harness like a dork in a back brace. It's cute. :3 She tried rubbing it off but finally gave up. However, she did manage to get out of her collar in the process. We didn't even notice until she exploded into the living room in feral banshee mode... and there was no telltale jingle. I found the collar under my bed, but I'll wait a few days to put it back on. I don't even have a name tag yet... the damn I.D. dispenser at Wal-Mart is out of order, and it's the only one around that I can find. Maybe when Andrew comes back on Thursday we can get her a tag at the mall, put her collar back on, and try walking her around the living room. Right now she still thinks the leash is something trying to attack her back... it's cute, but not helpful. :3

Tomorrow is my econ final. I'm hoping for an A, but I'm on THE fringe. I can miss 5 or 6 and make an A... hopefully I can manage it. If not... it won't be the Apocalypse. But I've actually tried. I've read, I've paid attention, I've studied, and I've only missed ONE class. That's a record for me. As long as I don't think too much; that's a serious danger with multiple choice tests, especially Dr. Farr's: over-analyzing. Eh.

Oh-- one more thing. When Andrew and I got back this evening, the kitchen and living room STUNK. Really. It was an animal funk, like ferret almost. Of course, the prime suspect was Melody. We finally realized she had gas and had farted up the place. I checked her litter box, and she hadn't pooped all day. Constipated, gassy kitty. The conclusion? Special Kitty really is crap. I still stand behind the litter; but the food is... yuck. I knew it wasn't good food, but I didn't think it'd make Melody gas up the house. What a lesson I've learned... o.O
