Great weekend overall! Everything that could have gone right with the NFL did. The Denver Broncos ended the Patriots winning streak in the playoffs (10 in a row is as high as you go) AND the hated Colts were put in their place by Pitt despite a series of HORRIBLE calls by the refs which all benefited Indy. I must say though, the Colts-Steelers game was among the most exciting contests I've seen in years. What a roller coaster of emotions, thank God Pitt pulled it off. So, the stage is set for the AFC Championship game in Denver this coming Sunday (for the first time since 1998). So I'm going to enjoy every minute of this week and cheer my little ass off on Sunday...lets hope I get to do it one more time for XL...
Otherwise we had an eventful night of shuffleboard on Saturday night after the game. I realized that wearing a throwback John Elway jersey will invite conversation at a bar. I'm sure at least 15 people stopped to chat about my jersey and football loyalties. Good times were had by all, even though my shuffle board skills were a little rusty and I ran into one fairly disgruntled Pats fan.
The only other news is that I may have a really solid lead on a job thanks to my sweet sister. It turns out a former co-worker of her's is now working for a marketing firm in Old Montreal and may be looking for someone. I'll be calling him tomorrow so *hopefully* there will be more on this later!
Peace out and here is a picture of the usual suspects in the cab on the way home from the bar...
