swimsuit shopping

Cheap swimsuits fall apart. chemicals, heat, salt water... they just never last that long.

Since I have exactly ONE swimsuit, I decided to look at Land's End. They sell everything from "short torso plus" to "DDD cup" to "long torso" so even though their swimwear isn't exciting it is quality and seems pretty well designed. But they are expensive- $100 and up for a swimsuit.

But it just happens that they have two things going on; 25% off regular price, and a large selection of last years colors in the 'outlet'. (Cobalt vs. Bluebell vs. South Sea... does 'blue' need to be that complicated?) Anyway, I just ordered 5 tankini pieces from Land's End. I paid $60, much less than one regular suit would have cost. It took some time to mix and match, getting things in the right sizes and in matching or coordinating colors.

If you're looking for a swimsuit, I think it is worth checking out. A few things that might help: you can sort by 'collection' and this makes matching stuff a lot easier. Since they have a lot more tops in the outlet, I picked a couple of tops I liked for less than $10 each and then got a regular price bottom that coordinated for under $30. It was 25% off too.

One thing that does bug me is that you can pick long torso OR D/DD/DDD cup size, but not both. Okay, that's all. It's a happening Saturday night at the group home.
