(no subject)
hehe, oh yeah. I was just looking over my older entries, and realized I hadn't put in here that we have moved and that I am currently working in Lodi. We live on Q street downtown now, yay! There's a park kitty-cornered with our block and I take Lola every day. It's heaven. There are no bummy-homeless people, just the kind that are sleeping in the shade. It's nice and peaceful. There's a big black family that comes and takes up all the picnic tables in the shade and is loud and they're so fun to listen to. One of the older ladies has taken to waving to me every morning. I smile and wave back. They are really fun. Maybe they'll invite me over one day....
Another thing... Lola wants to eat the squirrels! She thinks they are crunchy and will taste good with ketchup. I try to sway her towards her vegetarian roots, but her lust for squirrely blood is stronger... ahh well.
Rick is now commuting farther than he was before. It sucks, cos we move farther away from his work and he STILL doesn't have to drive as far as I do now to work. What's that about? I get the longer commute no matter what! But it's not so bad. At 80-85 mph every morning I make it to work in about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic (and when I drag myself out of bed).
I'm off Tuesday for the 4th. I'm hella stoked, but Rick's working. Bryan (brother of the younger but still older than me by 3 years) may have gotten us all tickets to go see the fireworks at Raley field, but I'm not sure yet. Traffic and parking will be hell, and I don't think Rick gets off until 5 that day so it may be hard to get him there. Parking may stink to high heaven. We'll see how that pans out... Either way, it's a day off! Woo!
