(no subject)
alright so here is the news.. first things first.. i have all region jazz band comming up soon and i think i am ready! i will play a jazz tune, a latin tune as well as a funk tune. the one im having the hardest time comming up with is the latin tune though.. i know some lating grooves but not enough to make the song sound amazing like i want it to sound.
tonight we visited stevie davis.. he is in the snare line at americas high school. i played on his drumset for a while, and we talked like an hour about drums. he told me that i should try out for the americas snare line... he told me i could make it which got my hopes really really high but then my hopes were brought right back down knowing that i would never be able to go to that school because of my parents.... oh well. i guess i can learn tips from him on the side, im gonna go watch them practice thursday.
IMBIBE THE JIBE! umm our practice last friday was very crappy and i was not satisfied with it at all. im saying this over live journal because i cannot say it to your faces in person.
im learning a solo called Impulse that is 4 pages long.
