I graduated for college, May 14, 2009. I would have been done in December, but then I got cast in AGAMEMNON, and decided to stay an extra semester.

So I woke up at 4:49 Thursday morning and headed to the PNC Bank Art Center for 5:45 that same morning. I was supposed to be rehearsing with this 6 person group, singing the Kean Alma Mater for the closing of the ceremony. Though to be honest, the six of us agreed that we could have totally been there at 7, but whatever. On the car ride there, I realized that I had forgotten my VIP parking pass at home, but when we got there, I told the guard that I was performing, and when I told him my name, he let us through...heh so sweet.

So Dusty, Diana, Danielle, Kelly, Stephanie, and I were on stage of the PNC BAC getting miked, and rehearsing. That space is HUGE!!! When we were done we went and got breakfast. It was great. I had my first omelet ever, and it tasted wonderful. Dusty had this crazy bacon/apple combination that blew my mind! It was so weird!

After breakfast, we all got dressed, and went to the place were the graduates were supposed to line up...and then it started to rain. So you have 2300 students standing in the rain, asking "WTF Kean?! No tents?!" But as we started to walk in, it slowly stopped raining. I got to hold my major's banner, which was sweet! And on the way in I saw my mom and Andre, so that was also cool.

So we sit down, and my friend Gundacker (a.k.a. the Diana I mentioned before) and I pull out our graduation presents out of our purses. Both of our boyfriends got us a new, light blue DSi. Gundacker, her bf Brian, and our friends Madi and Laurel, and I spoke in picto chat, while the speeches went on. It was fun.

Our guest speaker was Lisa P. Jackson, the Head of the EPA of the Obama administration. Her speech was nice, from what I heard of it. And I did find it funny that she added in a shameless plug of that fact that she would be on the Daily Show, later that evening.

There was also this dance company from NYC that did a graduation themed dance routine to Viva La Vida, by Coldplay.

After the dance was done, Dusty, G-dacker, and I headed back stage (the other three were chillin' back there, through most of the ceremony).

Once back there, we lined up to receive our grad plaques from the president of the university, on stage. People cheered for us, it was fun.

Then we waited for the degrees to be called from all six colleges, and then we performed, hugged, said our goodbyes, and headed home.

Afterward, I went out to eat with my parents, and Andre (who was weirded out by the whole thing) at the Cheesecake Factory. I love the Cheesecake Factory.

My mom got me flowers, my dad gave me money, and Andre had already given me the DSi. So I was happy.

So now, I am working on getting headshots, and then AUDITIONING!
