Okay, I haven't updated in a few days because I feel like I've just been waiting for life to happen. I had my second interview for the summer position I want, and I think it went alright! The woman interviewing me was really nice, and she's supposed to email me the job descriptions for the three positions I could be considered for. One is a typical camp counselor type position, which sounds fun because it involves camp activities, including a camping trip. The second is more outdoorsy, and I would work on preparing campers for the camping trip and doing that type of thing, like hiking, canoeing, etc. The third is a more supervisory role, where I would be in charge of some of the other staff! I'd be happy in any of the three roles, but because I would like a more permanent position with this organization or a similar organization, I said my first choice would be the supervisory position. Now I have a third interview in the next couple of weeks! I hate waiting, but I'm pretty excited.
I haven't heard about the server position yet, but I'm still hopeful that I might hear back from them this week. Not much else to say on this, just that I'm still waiting.
I finished my application for the master's program, and at least one of my recommendation writers has gotten her letter in. I am decently confident that I can get into the program, but I'd like to know about funding, too! I won't hear back on this for another month! ARGH!
One last thing I'm waiting for is my surprise anniversary present from Andrew. He seems really excited about it, and I have no idea what it is. He said he knows exactly one person who could help him with it, and that it will be ready by March 15 (our anniversary). I'm thinking maybe he had a miniature Maki cloned for me? He knows I hate how Maki grew up...
Other things in life: My best friend will be around in Springfield (my next location) and we're looking for a place for her, her sister, Andrew, and me! I'm so excited.
My "nonthesis research paper" is going slowly. I have four pages, plus some graphs and charts finished. :/ I want to work on my introduction section next, but I want to review some other articles to get a better feel for the structure of my introduction section.
I still can't run, and I'm going to call the doctor soon because the knee pain has changed, and not gotten any better and it's been almost two weeks. I lifted weights today (squats, lunges, deadlifts, benching) and I'm already sore. Oops.
Bonus points for people who get the reference in the title.
