Brokeback Mountain

Lee Ang said in an interview that everyone has his/her own Brokeback Mountain.

Well... Maybe it is truth in some way, but I doubt the memory of the mountain will last 4 years, let alone 20 years. Let's face it, things are working on the basis of easy come easy go. Just how many of us really try that hard to be together anymore? Why try so hard when there's easy way out? If Jack is a cowboy of the urban life today, will he wait that long? As charming as he is, you think how many invitation will he receive in one night? People give up when things get harder, as sad as it is, it is indeed what is happening...

Maybe that's why people is in love with this movie, in love with the idea of struggled relationship that last almost forever. What would you tell a friend if he is with a person who can't give him enough. " Well... why should you waste time on him? U deserved someone better! Forget about him and move already!" Isn't what we say to each other all time?

Temptation and opportunity make people weak and give up easily. In the world today, there's plenty of temptation and opportunity...

Brokeback Mountain should begin with " Long long time ago, at a kingdom far far away..."

I am trying very hard to believe in fairy tales.
