My rating of the book, F- [worst] to A [best]: B

Description of the book: Mikael Blomkvist, a once-respected financial journalist, is convicted of libel and his professional prospects disappear until an an offer to get even is extended by Henrik Vanger. The catch is that Blomkvist must first spend a year researching a mysterious disappearance that has remained unsolved for nearly four decades. With few other options, he accepts and enlists the help of investigator Lisbeth Salander.
Review: This was a real page turner. I wouldn't say that there was anything stylistically that I noticed about Larsson's writing, but the story itself was just so good, it was worth sticking around for. My boyfriend was concerned that I wouldn't like it because of all the sexual abuse in the story- and it is true- there was a lot of it and it was pretty graphic-so be forewarned!

As a side note: I watched the swedish film last night and I really thought the actress playing Lisbeth did an excellent job! Didn't care much for anyone else in the film. And of course, they changed many details in the film- not sure why, some of the details didn't really seem important.
